About Me

Hi, I'm Sophie and I live in Matfield with my husband Alex, our two children and our cat Zinny. My son is 9 years old and my daughter is 18 months old. I am a qualified teacher with 14 years experience in primary and EYFS education. I now offer full day care for babies and young children up to the age of 5 years.

I specialise in music and drama and I love to incorporate this into our every day activities.

My qualifications include:

• Teaching degree
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Full paediatric first aid
• Food hygiene

I have a current and up to date DBS check and a full driving licence.

My availability is currently Monday - Wednesday 8am-5:30pm.

I am passionate about early years education and the vital role it plays in helping children to achieve their full potential and becoming well rounded individuals. I understand how important it is to meet children's learning and development needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage. 

I am committed to providing high quality child care and early education, along with lots of fun, in a safe and happy environment.

As a mummy myself, I understand the importance of finding the right setting for both you and your child.

I hope to be able to offer just that and look forward to meeting you both. 

We are lucky enough to have our house surrounded by apple orchards and there is a small playground only a two minute walk away.

Within my setting I offer children a wide range of stimulating and engaging play based learning opportunities, both inside and outside, to help them learn and master core skills.

This includes activities such as baking, messy play, role play, singing, dancing and sharing books and stories.

We have an abundance of toys, from dress-up to dolls and craft to construction.  Imaginations can run wild with cars and garages, animals and farm sets and more learning through play with board games.

We have a huge selection of books to suit all ages from babies to early readers -  reading and nurturing a love of books is a huge part of our day.
